About Robert

I developed the initial prototype of the Bryant Dental Release Probe to address a need of my own. At age 65, I never expected to be wearing dentures, but I had a terrible accident which resulted in need for reconstructive surgery on my jaw and the use of an upper denture.

After I went through the surgery and was fitted with the dentures, I found the removal process to be quite difficult. It required me to pull vigorously with both my hands to get them out. Not only was it difficult and inconvenient, but I could also see that it could lead to an unsanitary situation if I didn't have the means to clean my hands when removal was necessary. At that point, I realized that what I needed was a tool to assist me. After doing research, I found nothing available on the market that met my needs. I wanted a tool that would be sturdy, sanitary, and easy to use. I decided to take matters into my own hands and began the process of developing a tool on my own.

After coming up with an initial design, I patented it and contacted a local manufacturer, Frank Palazzolo at Pro Machine & Engineering Inc. Together we have worked to develop and refine it into the upper Bryant Dental Release Probe that it is today. We went on to design a lower release probe as well. Both probes are designed with a plastic ergonomic handle and stainless-steel shaft. We also developed a force measurement gauge to assist dentists when fitting dentures.
